Numecent Appoints Arthur Hitomi as President and CEO

Irvine, CA – Numecent®, a pioneer of cloud-based application delivery, has promoted Arthur Hitomi to President and CEO.

Dr. Hitomi co-founded Numecent in 2008 and since has been its Chief Technology Officer. He developed the core that is the basis for the company’s technology and has authored 19 issued patents to date. In the past, he co-founded Endeavors Technology and has held both industry and academic positions.

Dr. Hitomi is one of very few experts in the industry with nearly two decades of experience in Internet application deployment. His work was part of a DARPA funded research team that invented REST and the hypertext transfer protocol (http). Since then he has been commercializing new Internet and cloud based products.

“As a PhD student, my research created a revolutionary model for running software over the Internet. Now some of the world’s largest cloud providers use Cloudpaging™ to power their own cloud. There are still many other applications of this technology that have yet to be realized.” says Dr. Hitomi.

Today Cloudpaging™ powers enterprises, ISVs, universities, and MSPs which are providing millions of Cloudpaging™ sessions. Numecent is also developing solutions for phones, IoT devices, and desktops; whether physical, virtual or in the cloud, still require software distribution tools for proper management.

Additionally, Numecent Cloudpaged SaaS provides a modern way of running, managing, and moving mobile and desktops applications. The solution is much faster, simpler, more flexible and economical than what traditional tools such as SCCM provide.

“My mission as CEO is for Numecent to become the “cloud-first” application delivery service. We are excited to showcase this and other new platforms,” says Dr. Hitomi.
Dr. Hitomi holds a BS with honors, MS, and PhD in Information & Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine.
