IRVINE, Calif., February 20, 2024 – Numecent has released Cloudpaging Studio 9.4. The release significantly enhances the application packaging experience within Cloudpaging Studio by expanding Desktop and Start Menu shortcut support, compression options, and application packaging automation capabilities.
INTRODUCED A NEW SHORCUTS MANAGEMENT TAB
Cloudpaging Studio 9.4 introduces a brand new “Shortcuts” tab, which makes it easy to add, remove, or modify application shortcuts within a Cloudpaging container. These application shortcuts can be implemented for both user Desktops and Start Menus. This feature will automatically highlight potential issues with shortcuts during the packaging process, making it easy to configure command line settings.
ADDED SUPPORT FOR LZ4 COMPRESSION
This release introduces a new compression type called “LZ4”. While the compression ratio is not as small as LZMA, LZ4 decompression speeds can be 10x to 100x faster. This is extremely useful for organizations utilizing multi-source and precache capabilities that are not concerned with latency and storage relative to application performance.
ENHANCED APPLICATION PACKAGING AUTOMATION AND CLI OPERATIONS
Numecent is committed to making packaging applications simple and straightforward. Numerous enhancements have been implemented to expand application packaging automation capabilities and seamlessly integrate command-line operations within Cloudpaging Studio. This includes the ability to add specific files or registry keys when automating packaging, improving error messages, and fixing various defects. In addition, Cloudpaging Studio can now output key information about an appset and extract appsets via CLI for quick analysis.
