Welcome to Numecent’s 2026 mid-year review!
We are now past the halfway point of 2026. Let’s reflect on all the news and capabilities rolled out by Numecent so far.
At the beginning of the year, we achieved IP Co-sell status from Microsoft, simplifying and streamlining the Cloudpager procurement process. The biggest benefit for customers is that they can now draw down from their Microsoft Azure consumption commitment when procuring Cloudpager.
We are also greatly expanding upon our AI packaging, enabling you to drag and drop your own custom Windows installers to Cloudpager for on-demand packaging, which means getting the benefits of application containerization has never been easier.
MSIX Containers also saw more love by the Numecent team this year with the roll out of MSIX optimization. This brings the management of MSIX packages closer to feature parity with Cloudpaging application containers. Features such as software asset management and delivery policies can now be extended to MSIX containers, allowing you to automatically revoke app access on a certain date, limit the total number of seats, cap concurrent sessions, and more. Trust Policies can be used to assign MSIX containers to groups of users and then limit what operating systems the containers can be run on, and even what device or groups of devices they can be run on too. Of course, our patented prefetch capabilities can also help optimize the first launch performance, and our comprehensive application usage reporting and application status or telemetry data can also be utilized once the MSIX application containers have been optimized.
One of the biggest developments of the year was our collaboration with Citrix on the integration of Cloudpager to Citrix Studio. Cloudpaging containers are now a supported option in app packages, allowing you to publish Cloudpaging application containers from Cloudpager into Citrix environments in a few minutes. This was followed by the release of Cloudpager’s Citrix Storefronts, supporting the publishing of Cloudpaging containers into Citrix DAAS. All in all, it’s easier than ever to containerize virtually any Windows application and deploy across all Citrix environments, be they on premises or in the cloud.
Cloudpager Storefronts also received meaningful enhancements so far this year, with support for application dependency management for applications published in Cloudpager Storefronts, as well as Nimbus ID support for storefronts, which enables the use of storefronts and non-domain joined devices, including BYOD, or Bring Your Own Device. And of course, devices that happen to be joined to a domain that is perhaps not the primary domain in an organization, or one that is not being actively synced to Entra ID.
On the client side of the house, the Cloudpager client has been re-architected to become even more efficient, with fewer writebacks to the database, a change in logic for detecting application updates via work pods, and more. Cloudpaging Player received general maintenance releases, with exciting enhancements and new features expected in the coming weeks.
Outside of delivering awesome new enhancements and features, we were happy to meet customers out on the road at events such as Modern Endpoint Management Summit, MMS MOA, Nerdiocon, EUC Form, and more. We also had several webinars this year, such as a webinar that featured Numecent CEO Arthur Hitomi on the topic of Intune, which was later followed with the webinar together with Microsoft, where I had the honor of being the first to demonstrate Windows Server 2025 with App Attach and Azure Virtual Desktop. And the last webinar of the first half of the year was an exciting webinar that we hosted together with Citrix.
