Introducing Intune Storefronts in Cloudpager

Hone the Speed and Precision of Intune with with Cloudpager®

At Numecent, our mission is to simplify the mobilization and management of Windows applications across modern desktop and multi-cloud environments. In the spirit of this mission, our engineering team is committed to supporting the Microsoft ecosystem.

We are excited to introduce Intune Storefronts in Cloudpager.

How to Get Started with an Intune Storefront in Cloudpager

Getting started with an Intune Storefront in Cloudpager is simple. Navigate to Settings in your Cloudpager tenant to grant the required permissions.

Granting permissions to integrate Cloudpager to Intune

To successfully do so, connect using an Entra ID account with sufficient privileges to grant the access to setting the new permissions.

Cloudpager administrative console showing Intune Storefront permissions granted

These permissions will be added to your existing Cloudpager App Registration in Azure Entra ID. When the permissions have set successfully, the Enable Intune Integration for Storefronts setting will appear enabled.

As you can see in the demo video above, creating an Intune Storefront can be completed in seconds. Simply navigate to the Storefront tab in Cloudpager, select Add Storefront (top right of the window), select Intune as your storefront type, select Continue, fill in the details of your storefront (Storefront name and description), select the applications you’d like to include, and click Publish.

Selecting Intune in the Cloudpager Storefront tab

Upon publishing an Intune Storefront with the Cloudpaging application containers of your choice, those containers will be published to your Intune tenant as Windows Apps (Win32). The Win32 Apps are pre-populated with an appropriate Detection Rule set. As you may expect with this package type in Intune, you can use features such as Dependencies and Supercedence. You can also deploy the Cloudpaging application containers to assigned users or devices.

Intune Storefront brings our best-in-class Cloudpaging application containers to Intune providing accelerated application deployments, enhanced application security, a migration path for legacy applications with compatibility challenges, and much more.

Containerize Everythingâ„¢ to Maximize Application Deployment Speed, Security, Simplicity, and Insights

If you’re new to Numecent, you may be wondering why should I containerize my applications and deploy them with Intune, even if it’s an easy process?

Accelerate Application Deployments up to 20x

Containerizing your applications with Cloudpaging eliminates application install-related failures you may experience with Windows Installers and Setup.exes. To maximize the speed of deploying these application containers with Intune, Cloudpager provides a dedicated Content Delivery Network (CDN) to provision them wherever your users reside.

Combined with our container’s compression and patented prefetch capabilities, you can accelerate application deployments up to 20x. For example, while it may take quite some time to deploy a new 1GB+ package in Intune, the same size application containerized and provisioned via Intune as a Cloudpaging application container through Cloudpager’s Intune Storefront gets accelerated as the installation package is small.

Maximize Application Compatibility

Cloudpaging application containers are perfect for stubborn legacy applications that refuse to migrate to the latest Windows operating system (OS). Our container technology is not just filter driver-based, but actually has its own dedicated virtual file system with granular controls over isolation ensuring even many complex legacy applications can be deployed in our container.

Cloudpager customers can also upload their existing App-V packages which will be automatically optimized with our Cloudpaging container technology so they can be seamlessly deployed via Intune beyond App-V Server’s end of life (2026).

Reduce Application Attack Surface

Cloudpaging application containers are only visible to employees assigned the application, even when using multi-session Windows desktops. Cloudpaging application containers can be encrypted in-flight and at-rest with AES-256 Advanced encryption, with the Cloudpaging Player cache (responsible for virtualizing apps on desktops) uniquely encrypted per machine.

Cloudpaging application containers provide granular control over what components are isolated or integrated to the system. This includes what we call the Layer 4 Disposition Layer, which can fully virtualize/isolate a specific directory, registry key or even a single file but this can also be applied to entire applications such as required dated runtime software utilized in your environment (learn more here). Providing a means to reduce the surface layer for attack. Our container also features DRM capabilities, including the ability to prevent copying in and out of the container sandbox.

Get Real-time Data on Application Utilization

Cloudpager provides detailed application usage reporting. Every instance of application being launched as a container is recorded including data on who launched the application, when it was launched, when it was closed, total duration of use, and more (explore the Cloudpager Dashboard feature here).

You can track the frequency of utilization, unique devices, users etc. This kind of data can be vital when considering license renewals for software as it provides genuine usage info for you to make an informed decision. It also helps with the application rationalization process during migration projects and is the perfect accompaniment to Intune’s application insights and compliance data.

Simplify Intune Application Deployments

If you attempt to package and deploy your applications with traditional application virtualization products, application layering solutions, or even other container formats you likely hit a ceiling in terms of compatibility. A large percentage of your applications just would not work in those formats. That is not what you get with Cloudpaging application containers. We have customers who have successfully packaged and delivered upwards of 98% of their application estate including large complex application suites, applications with drivers and more!

We have also made it even easier to dive into using Cloudpaging application containers thanks to our Cloudpaging AI feature which can automatically containerize a consumer off the shelf application from WinGet on-demand applying intelligence in the process to optimize the application for enterprise customers e.g. disabling auto-update features, setting the correct Command Line for launching an application from a Storefront and more.
