This position will be responsible for the agile software development methodologies and scrum practices for the Company development projects. The successful candidate will have experience with scrum, project scheduling, resource management, budgeting, and some outsourcing and/or client liaison experience will be required. Candidate must have strong communication skills and enjoy working with people.
Responsibilities
- Manage the scrum process and ceremonies using Agile methodology and Scrum practices
- Conduct sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other related activities for sprint management
- Plan and direct multiple schedules in a matrix engineering organization and monitor budget/spending as necessary
- Partner with the product owner(s) to support short and long-term release planning and manage interdependencies
- Determine scope and work with functional managers and senior management to obtain personnel resources for projects
- Lead cross-functional teams from initiation through delivery of new or existing projects and provide status reports
- Organize inter-departmental activities and communication ensuring completion of the project on schedule
- Maintain schedules and budgets for outsourced and client projects
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members and help teams achieve continuous improvement
- Develop a successful team environment that encourages maximum productivity and open communications
Requirements
- Scrum Manager certified
- 2+ years experience in software project management
- Ability to develop and maintain project plans using Microsoft Project and Excel
- Understanding of software development and technology
- Team management skills with success in team building, problem solving and conflict resolution
- Cross-functional team management experience including outsourcing
- Must be highly self-motivated and able to coordination in different time zones
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Preferred Background
- College Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration
- PMP certification
